5+ 'Kylie Skin' Scandals We're Still Not Over

Kylie Jenner has made quite the first impression with her new skincare line "Kylie Skin." Fans, dermatologists and basic betches alike just cannot seem to makeup their minds about these dang PRODUCTS!

Some reviews rave about the relatively affordable line, while others rip it to shreds!

And with controversy comes JUICE, ladies. I'm talking DRAMA, okay? I'm talking GOSSIP.

It seems like so many controversies have happened in the month since Kylie launched her skincare line that it's only fair to round them up and refresh our memories.

1) The Walnut Scrub

It all started with speculation around Kylie's walnut face scrub, which started before the product was even available for purchase!

Many fans were immediately comparing the walnut scrub to the ever controversial St.Ives Apricot Scrub, which has been cancelled by the beauty community.

Back in 2016, two women filed a lawsuit against St. Ives claiming that the face scrub, made with crushed walnut shells, tore up their face and gave them acne.

Kylie has insisted the scrub is safe for use once or twice a week, but some fans are still unconvinced.

This one is a hard pass for me, tbh.

2) The Face Washing Video

A few days after the launch, Kylie went on Instagram to record herself washing her face with her "delicious" foaming facial wash.

Kylie washed her face for aprox. seven seconds and then proceeded to wipe her face with a white towel which EXPOSED her.

There was so much makeup on that towel... that is called A SCAM, sweetie. LOOK IT UP.

3) Kim Roasts Kylie For Skin Washing Video

A few days after Kylie embarrassed herself globally, sister Kim stepped in to roast her baby sister.

Kim joked, “I'm going to teach you guys how to do a tutorial on how to wash your face and b*tches I only have ten seconds. What do you want me to do in ten seconds?"

Everyone needs a little sibling roast once in awhile. It keeps us sharp.

Kim defended her sister though, insisting her Kylie Skin makeup wipes are the key to the perfect face wash.

"You know what the main point she left out was? She left out that you use these wipes first, before you get the foundation off!"

4) YouTube Beauty Guru Jeffree Star Roasts Kylie Skin With Shane Dawson

Youtube | Jeffree Star

Yeah this went very badly. Jeffreee and Shane are two of the most popular YouTubers so their opinions do truly matter to millions of viewers.

First, Shane ordered the whole set but only received half of it.

Youtube | Jeffree Star

He received only two makeup removers, a face wash, and a toner.

Why did the company separate the products? Very confusing.

They said that the makeup remover wipes felt dry.

Youtube | Jeffree Star

Jeffree said his mascara didn't come off even after using a few of the wipes.

BIG yikes.

Then, came the review of the foaming face wash.

Youtube | Jeffree Star

Jeffree didn't like that it has a fragrance and Shane said it was burning.

They really were c o m i n g for the gal.

They also claimed that the toner was turning their skin red.

Youtube | Jeffree Star

Shane also said it was making his skin tingle, but he also incessantly expressed that his skin is really sensitive, so, can we really trust him? You can tell how much he is reaching for his next conspiracy video.

Next was the infamous walnut scrub. DUN DUN DUN.

After pulling and tugging and touching each other's faces, they both claimed there was residue left on their faces.

Hmmmmmmm.

Shane also said the eye serum smelled like Beggin' Strips.

Youtube | Jeffree Star

Yes, like the dog treat. And specifically, the bacon flavor.

Shane, what the heck are you snacking on?

Jeffree and Shane ultimately called her line basic. LOL.

They really were not holding back.

And I mean, I don't think he cares, but I don't think Jeffree will be getting back on the PR list any time soon.

In summary, Shane said he would never use Kylie Skin again unless his house was on fire and it was the only skincare he grabbed.

Jeffree said he would use Kylie Skin products to clean up his dogs sh*t.

5) Kylie Posted A Troll Review Thinking It Was Legit

Twiter | @PopSirens

Kylie loves posting testimonials from Twitter onto her Instagram story as good publicicty for her brand. Unfortunately, Kylie posted one by Twitter user "Anal Wintour" (lol) last week and that's when things got super cringey.

Wintour posted the screenshot of Kylie's story and proceeded to announce she's never actually tried Kylie Skin. OMIGOD, A SCAM!

Twiter | @PopSirens

I mean... it is kinda funny, lol. BUT IT'S NOT NICE!

6) Kylie's Skin "Vegan" Ingredients Came Under Fire

Instagram | @kylieskin

Kylie Skin claims to be 100% cutely free and vegan, so when two of her ingredients: squalane and hydroxyacetophenone came into question, vegan fans were shook.

Thankfully, a report was done confirming the ingredients in question were totally plant based, y;all.

Instagram | @kylieskin

That's right! Everything is totally vegan! Woot!

Moving forward, I hope Kylie doesn't have to deal with anymore scandals— they're *totally* not ideal!
