Parents Of Missing 15-Year-Old Girl Are Asking For The Public's Help To Find Her

The parent of a missing 15-year-old Michigan girl are asking for the public's help in finding the teen and bringing her home safely, ABC13 reported.

Gracie Hewartson of Hopkins, Michigan, has reportedly been voluntarily missing since Friday afternoon after disappearing with a man she allegedly met through Instagram.

Gracie's parents, Darrin and Micki Hewartson, say their daughter went missing on August 2 at around 3:30 p.m.

The pair believe Gracie voluntarily went with a man who contacted her through her Instagram account, and who offered the teen a place where she could live with him, Darrin said.

Gracie's friends had previously warned her against meeting the man but she ignored them.

Her parents believe it is this man who convinced their daughter to run away from home, and who they believe she is currently with.

They say Gracie went with the unnamed man "willingly."

"But she was being baited," Darrin said. "She went under the prospect of 'come live with me and I'll take care of you and everything will be OK and you'll never have to be found again.'"

The pair also believe their daughter is currently two hours away from the Hopkins area.

Anyone with any information on Gracie's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Allegan County Sheriff's Department.

"We just want her home and safe," Micki said.
