What? Well, this seems oddly regressive.
This is an incredibly terrible move by the filmmakers, especially considering the fact that the movie was already made.
But even if it hadn't been, and it had been a last-minute decision, this still wouldn't be okay.

Yes, this piece of trivia popped up on Twitter about the famous... well, semi-famous... well, now infamous Christmas movie, saying the gay couple changed to a straight one if you weren't Canadian.
Oh well, it just seems as though American audiences just weren't ready to face the fact that gay people were real.
Hopefully, something like this never happens again.
