Jimmy Fallon Gives Air Force Veteran $50,000 On Veterans' Day

On November 11th, which is Veteran's Day/Remembrance Day, we all took a little bit of time out of our day to remember those who lost their lives protecting ours.

It has been something that has been done for decades, a tradition that will likely continue to stand the test of time.

But Jimmy Fallon took that sentiment a bit further...

Who doesn't like Jimmy Fallon?

Sure he's a bit excitable, but isn't that exciting attitude just infectious?

Sometimes he may have some controversial people on his show, but at the end of it, he always comes out laughing and entertains us all with his humor.

And while there were some ups and downs in the news on that day...

One of the most positive ups was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

He came out with a huge donation towards a Veteran's charity.

$150,000 went to a charity called "The Fischer House", a charity that gives housing to the families of Veterans while their loved ones are in treatment.

But the goodwill did not stop there folks, oh no.

He also announced the winner of "Operation Surprise", a contest that awarded $25,000 to a military veteran that was in his audience that night.

It is truly heartwarming.

This woman served 26 years in the Air Force and now she's not only going to get the $25,000 from Home Depot but after hearing her story Home Depot doubled the prize and she got $50,000.

Wow. Just beautiful.
