Well, it looks like they're going to take another crack at it. All I can say is good luck DC, hopefully, things are better this time around.
We can all only hope.
Plus, who knows, if they make the right casting, and follow the comic books, maybe it'll be a hit!
If Ryan Reynolds years later is putting a joke about how awful it was in a different superhero movie (see the end of Deadpool 2) then it's probably safe to say it's not widely beloved.
And we can all hope they've learned from their mistakes.
The new movie will be called Green Lantern Corps, and it's currently only in the pre-production phase. In fact, the movie hasn't even been written.
He's said in the past that he wants to take his time with the script, to try to make it so that this time the movie is top-notch.
Well, that's reassuring.
"I want to make sure I write the best script I can possibly write, so I need to go away in a cave and write that script and finish it and then come out and go 'okay' and work with the guys and really make sure we've got the best story to tell and the best way into this character. I think we have a lot of things in it that...people know my run from Green Lantern and so they shouldn't be too surprised by seeing what we bring into it."
