Radio stations often host contests, giving away prizes of all kinds. Some give away concert tickets, others give away money, and then some apparently give away babies.
The radio station, B103.9, held a “Win a Baby” contest, but they weren't actually giving away a child (just in case you were wondering).
The radio station was offering the opportunity to have the cost of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment and the accompanying medication completely covered.
And, one couple was lucky enough to win the contest.
And, they recently welcomed their son Garrett, after winning the contest.
Anthony was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and due to chemotherapy treatments, doctors told him he would not be able to have children.
Krista told WFTX that she thought they would not be able to start a family.
“Without the contest, we definitely would not have been able to have our dream of having a baby. This is really a dream come true. We never thought we’d have our miracle and we’re so happy to have our little family,” Krista said in an interview.
That doesn't add in the cost of additional testing and treatments for both mom and baby.
She struggled through 55 hours of labor with her son, and he was moved to the NICU after delivery.
All of which would never have been possibly if it weren't for B103.9's amazing contest.
We truly cannot imagine anything better!
