Bizarre Moment Joe Biden Nibbles On Wife's Fingers During Iowa Campaign Stop

It's safe to say former Vice President Joe Biden was feeling a little cheeky (and perhaps a little snacky) when he nibbled at his wife, Jill's, fingers before an onlooking crowd of his supporters during a campaign stop in Iowa on Saturday.

According to Business Insider, the presidential hopeful took to the stage with his wife he playfully chomped down on her digits while she delivered a speech at the rally in Council Bluffs.

During her speech, Jill gestured her arm to the side, which the nearby Joe theatrically dodged on its first pass.

As it swung back again, he leaned forward and cheekily munched on the tip of his wife's index finger, earning a surprised chuckle from her and more laughs from the amused crowd of 200 or so onlookers.

Some people online found the moment to be a little creepy, but most were of the opinion that it was all in good fun.

"It was playful between spouses," this user wrote. "Glad they can still have fun."

Another person also came to the candidate's defense and added, "He has a good sense of humor. There is no reason to beat him up over this one."

The pair were in Iowa to kickoff Biden's eight-day, 800-mile "No Malarkey" road trip across the state.

The Democratic candidate recently announced the tour on Twitter, which will be the most intense effort made during his campaign.

As the Guardian reported, Biden will attempt to boost his flagging support in Iowa, where poll numbers show him trailing Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

For five decades the rural state has been the first in the country to cast its votes, giving it incredible influence over how each party's candidates are picked.

The Iowa caucuses will take place on February 3.
