National Cowboy Museum Puts Head Of Security In Charge Of Their Twitter

One person has proven themselves to be an unlikely hero in this time of uncertainty and fear... not a hero we necessarily need, but one we are all incredibly thankful for.

And that hero's name, is Tim.

Tim, last name unknown, is the director of security and operations services at the The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

However, when the museum closed its doors due to the coronavirus pandemic, Tim was put in charge of the museum's social media profile.

And Tim is doing nothing short of killing it!

Tim introduced himself to the museum's Twitter account in a beautifully authentic, and more than a little befuddled manner, tweeting:

"Hello, my name is Tim and I am the head of security for The Cowboy. I have been asked to take on the additional duty of social media management while the museum is closed. I’m new to this but excited. My team will also continue to protect and monitor the museum. Thanks, Tim Send".

Tim's social media presence is a perfect combination of informative, wholesome, and hilarious!

Tim was initially a little confused about how to successfully operate Twitter, even tweeting shortly after the above tweets, "Lucas, can you read this?"

Sources are as yet unable to confirm whether Lucan did in fact read it. However, we can only hope so.

Tim's Twitter takeover has not been solely technological stumblings though! (Also, is it not simply wonderful that Tim ends his Google searches with "please"?)

Tim also tweets very interesting material about the museum's many exhibits!

Tim's wonderfully genuine tone in the tweets and his hilarious technological hiccups have also been working wonders for the museum's exposure, as Tim's twitter takeover has gone viral!

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's Twitter page has increased from 9,789 followers on March 16, to over 300, 000 and rising!

The museum's officials have been apparently elated with Tim's amazing social media work!

And why wouldn't they? Tim's wholesomely funny tweets have provided considerable amounts of people with laughter during this difficult period, and that is something to be celebrated!

"Knowing that security would be left in the building no matter what, we had the idea of showing the Museum to the world from the perspective of Tim. What we've found is an authentic voice for the Museum; what we didn't anticipate was how much that voice would resonate with people during this difficult time," a museum spokesperson told The Hill.

People are also hoping that Tim will be left in charge of the page after the pandemic has passed.

As well as Tim's tweets consistently receiving thousands of likes and retweets, there are also hundreds of comments from the public, thanking Tim for his wonderful job on the museum's Twitter page:

"Tim, thank you for the chuckles every day. You make working from home much better."

"At this point I don’t even care if this is all Seth from Marketing, pulling our legs. All I want is that the updates keep coming. #HashtagThanksTim"

"As much as I love Tim, I also love the comments. No nastiness, no snark. Just good people smiling and enjoying a distraction."

"Cowboy Tim is too pure for this world."

Hopefully Tim's days as a social media giant are only just beginning.

Hopefully, the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum (and yes I like to say its full title because it has "cowboy" in it) will allow Tim to keep control of the Twitter page even after the pandemic is over. I mean, they'd be mad not to!

Thank you Tim, for giving us something spectacularly wholesome to smile about in these dark times! Keep killing it!
