Tattoo Artist Turns Scars And Birthmarks Into Beautiful Works Of Art

People get tattoos for many different reasons. Sometimes, it's just because they like a particular design. Other times, it's because the tattoo has a special meaning.

But there are also those times when a tattoo is a perfect choice to cover up an imperfection such as a scar, birthmark, or unpleasant memory. A Vietnamese tattoo artist known as Ngoc is a master at these special cover-up tattoos.

Ngoc has been a tattoo artist for about 10 years.

Throughout that time, she has become somewhat of a master at doing cover-up tattoos. It has become her passion to help people heal from past wounds and she's doing it beautifully.

Ngoc's idea of a perfect cover-up tattoo is a chance to change a person's perspective.

She likes to help people overcome their insecurities through her work and give them more confidence in themselves. Her work is like magic. It makes the scar virtually disappear.

This talented lady takes a lot of time to design a person's tattoo.

There are many things to consider like the correct placement of the tattoo, the shape, and the right colors for the job. Even though it's time-consuming, it's also well worth it.

It doesn't matter what kind of scar the person has Ngoc is able to handle it.

Just look at this huge scar she had to work with. She was able to transform this person's arm into a work of art. Wow!

She also needs to deal with the fact that scarred skin is much different from regular skin.

Oftentimes, it can be much thicker or thinner, and therefore a lot harder to work with. But even though it's challenging, this work is also very rewarding.

It has to be a wonderful feeling to be able to give a person newfound confidence.

Ngoc's cover-up tattoos help people forget their past traumas and move on to have a happier and better life afterward. I think that's amazing.

She likes to use her art form to help heal people's wounds that are on the inside through the work that shows on the outside.

This simple yet very beautiful rose is a perfect example of that. It's like the scar was never there.

Ngoc takes her job very seriously.

She knows that it needs to be done perfectly from the start. Fixing a badly done tattoo on a scar would be an almost impossible task. Therefore, she aims to always do the best job that she can possibly do.

I can't believe how great she is at covering many different types of scars.

This particular one might have given other artists some trouble but not Ngoc. She tackled this difficult job with such skill. I'm totally impressed with the final product here.

She takes on many challenging tasks that are difficult to accomplish.

But her skillful approach ensures that she gets it done right. Take this mountain tattoo — it's so beautifully done. I wouldn't even have known there was a scar there before.

No job seems too big for this young woman. I bet this massive scar would've scared many tattoo artists.

The way Ngoc transformed it is truly spectacular. It's pretty much impossible to know what was there before. It's absolutely amazing.

It must be hard for someone to have a scar that they want to hide.

Having a talented artist like Ngoc handle it in the way she did here is absolutely splendid. She even used the curved scar to her advantage here.

Speaking of tackling a difficult scar, this has to be my favorite cover-up job.

I absolutely love how Ngoc was able to make this piece look so pretty and feminine. I would consider getting something like this even without having a scar.

I have a small scar on my ankle. It's nowhere near some of these difficult tasks Ngoc had to handle.

If I was able to get a tattoo from her, I would do it in a heartbeat. Her work is simply outstanding.
