Going through a tragedy like a death in the family is always extremely difficult, but when you're a celebrity and the death was so high profile, it must be even more difficult to have millions of eyes on you and having opinions on how you're dealing with the trauma.
Naya Rivera's sister Nickayla has now spoken out.
After being reported missing on July 8th after renting a boat with her 4-year-old son Josey, it was confirmed on July 13th that Naya had drowned after potentially risking her life to save Josey's and return him to the boat while they were swimming.
The Daily Mail initially reported that the pair had moved in together, and had shared photographs of the two shopping together.
Some fans began to assume this meant the two were now dating, and became upset that Nickayla would "do that" to her late sister.
"Showing up for my nephew even though I can't show up for myself," Nickayla wrote in a statement made to her Instagam story, seemingly confirming that the two are living together for Josey's sake. "I'm not concerned with the way things look because no one can see each agonizing moment we all endure."
"I hope you all can do the same," she finished the post.
We're glad to see that Nickayla isn't concerned with what people are saying on Twitter about her during this extremely difficult time!
