Some women are even waiting until their forties, or later, like the celebrities on this list.

These pregnancies were complete surprises in some cases and others were the result of years of fertility treatments. Either way, these mature celeb moms were eager to welcome their bundles of joy!

Alanis Morissette

At age 44, the "Jagged Little Pill" singer announced she was expecting her third child. Alanis has a son born in 2010, and a daughter born in 2016 as well.

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey welcomed twins with her then-husband, Nick Cannon, in 2011 when she was 42-years-old. She named her twins Morocco and Monroe. Gotta love all the "M" names!

Geri Halliwell

Ginger Spice became a mom for the second time at age 44 when she gave birth to a baby boy named Montague. Her pregnancy came after a long struggle with infertility.

Eva Longoria

She told Who, reported by The List, "I've done all the stuff you can possibly do to try to get pregnant. So, the way it just happened with Sunday was like, 'What?' The percentages were so low. It is the miracle in my life."
