Justin Bieber Used A Kim Porter Tribute To Promote His Clothing Line And Fans Are Angry

Justin Bieber has sorta been an anomaly lately. I cannot figure him out for the life of me — and just when I thought he was back on the straight and narrow after settling down and marrying Hailey Baldwin, he pulls this stunt.

SMH.

Okay, so, Justin started a unisex fashion line called Drew House.

He kept the whole project under wraps for a long time, so we're still trying to figure out exactly where the idea stemmed from, and what the smiley face logo is all about.

But considering the brand is relatively new, Justin has been trying to jumpstart it by promoting tf out of it.

Even still, he's being very mysterious about it — posting photos of the logo without any context.

We've had to piece the entire thing together.

His advertising tactics have been a bit odd, thus far. But over the weekend it got much, much worse.

He made a giant misstep and everyone seems to be calling him out on it.

Over the weekend, Diddy posted a tribute to his late girlfriend and mother of his children, Kim Porter.

Kim passed away at the age of 47, in November of 2018 due to pneumonia.

Kim and Diddy shared three children together, Christian, D’Lila Star and Jessie James.

The pair started dating back in the early '90s, and welcomed their first child, Christian Casey in 1998.

When she passed away, Diddy posted a photo of her on Instagram with a very touching caption.

"Today we lay to rest our ANGEL. Her spirit lives on with us FOREVER!!!," he wrote.

Although the pair were perpetually on-again off-again, they always maintained a close and healthy relationship.

The news of her death was extremely saddening to Diddy — who has been posting tributes to her on Instagram regularly ever since, and expressing his grief.

I digress. on Sunday, Diddy posted this throwback of him and Kim.

"I remember Kim flying to see me on the set of can’t nobody hold me down. She took like a 12 hour flight to LA and 3 hour ride to the desert. With no complaints. Was always ride or die. From day 1! I called her BONNIE AND I WAS CLYDE! This picture will go down in history as the first time I said she was MINE!!!! AND THE FIRST TIME I TOLD HER I LOVE HER, little did I know I was hers. Miss you BONNIE and will forever. Maaaaan life is beautiful to have had these experiences. Love you baby," he captioned the photo.

Enter Justin Bieber.

Justin re-posted the photo on his own Instagram, along with the caption:

“#ddidyfordrewhouse @diddy KP YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED FOR THE STUNNING WOMAN YOU WERE INSIDE AND OUT.”

I think we can collectively agree this wasn't the time or place to be promoting his business. He was immediately dragged by fans.

Justin, my dude, read the room.

Another fan commented: “Delete this sir he shared this picture in memory of his wife not for promo for the clothing line."

“He was mourning about his girlfriend under the post. This is disrespectful," another fan wrote.

Justin caught wind of the criticism taking place in his comment section and decided to retaliate.

Justin replied back to one of the comments, defending himself and his intent.

"Ur wrong. God knows my heart, I know them and their family don't tell me I'm being disrespectful I have all the respect for both of them," he wrote.

Justin also pointed out that he didn't realize the photo was Diddy mourning, but just thought it was a cool photo.

"I didn’t realize it was a photo of him mourning KP but I totally respect that but I also respect how sick of a photo that is!" he continued.

He also explained that he simply enjoyed the fact Diddy was wearing a nearly identical outfit in the photo as one that is included in Justin's clothing line.

"He happens to be wearing an identical outfit of my clothing line and I thought that was really cool," he finished.

Justin seems to think that what he did was justifiable.

Do you think what he did was inappropriate or disrespectful to Diddy? Could he have picked a better time to promote his business?
