Controversial 'Bachelor' Couple Welcomes Their First Baby

Say what you will about The Bachelor, but that reality TV show has created some of the modern love stories of our time — for better or worse.

One Bachelor who divided fans was Arie Luyendyk Jr., but this news shows that he's moved on from his past decisions.

That's because Arie and his wife, Lauren, just welcomed their first child. Let's meet this Bachelor baby!

Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham might be one of the most controversial couples from "The Bachelor" in the show's history.

If you don't remember, let's just quickly take a moment to refresh your memory.

Originally, Lauren was the show's runner-up and Arie proposed to another woman named Becca.

Long story short, Arie regretted his decision, broke up with Becca, and married Lauren.

Fans were livid.

Well, I guess the fire has settled down somewhat over this turn of events and in January 2019, Arie and Lauren got married.

They might have seriously just set the record for quickest wedding after a Bachelor finale to date.

And not too long after that, they announced they were expecting their first child. Congrats times two, guys!

The couple announced their pregnancy back in November with the sweetest Instagram photo.

Throughout the pregnancy, the couple took the most Instagram-worthy photoshoots.

Lauren is seriously glowing in all of them. If only we all had a team of stylists and makeup artists to keep us all looking that fab during pregnancy!

Just the other day, Arie posted this photo on his Instagram with the caption, "IT'S HAPPENING!"

Dude, you have no idea. Your lives are about to change forever!

And shortly after that photo was taken, Alessi Ren Luyendyk made her debut in the world.

Alessi was born on May 29 at 2:09 PM. She weighed 6 lbs 13oz and is 20 inches long. Congrats to the happy family!

Arie marked the occasion with this sweet photo.

"This was first time she laid eyes on me and I’m forever changed," he said on Instagram. Awww, so sweet!

Well, he might have been the most controversial Bachelor ever, but I think he'll make a great dad.

I wonder if she'll grow up to be a professional car racer like her dad?
