This Cooling Water Bowl Will Help You Keep Fido Chill All Summer Long

So summer was a bit late off the starting line this year, but today is the first day that I feel I can legitimately call it "stupid hot" outside.

It's the kind of hot and humid where you feel like the air is trying to drown you and central air is the greatest invention of all time.

It's the kind of hot where you've filled the freezer with extra ice cube trays because your beverages are never cold enough.

Pro-tip: use the biggest ice cubes you can manage. They'll melt way slower.

But as we sip our icy lemonade, we often forget about our furry companions.

If you think you're suffering, imagine how they must feel in those fur coats. The least you can do is make sure they have something cool to drink too.

You can put ice cubes in their bowl, but that only lasts for so long.

Which is why this cool water bowl is genius. The insert can be put into the freezer and will keep water cold for hours once frozen through.

If I had one complaint, it's that the bowl doesn't hold a lot of water at once.

Which means a lot of refilling on days when active doggos are quenching their thirst regularly, and you may need more than one bowl if you want to keep up with multiple thirsty puppers.

Still, extra refilling is a sacrifice I'm willing to make if it will make the hot months a little easier for my fur babies.

If I'm going to have to keep telling them that there can't be any walkies until the pavement cools down, then the least I can do is give them cold water to enjoy.

The bowl pictured is called the Cool Pup and is available on Amazon, but I'm sure there are lots of similar products out there for any budget.
