10+ 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' References And Easter Eggs You Definitely Missed

Alright, I'm throwing this baby up just in case you want to be blind going into SpiderMan: Far From Home.

It's a pretty sweet movie, so I would if I were you.

Alright, let's start things up at the very beginning of the movie.

So Nick Fury and Maria Hill pull up in Mexico in a car with the license plate "463".

This is a reference to the Sandman, who first appeared in Amazing Spider-Man No. 4 back in 1963.

No, Sandman isn't in this movie, however, an Elemental that looks very similar to him appears in this scene.

As we all know, Jake Gyllenhaal plays the heroic (winky) Mysterio in this movie. However, he was almost Toby Maguire's replacement back in the Raimi trilogy of Spider-Man movies.

Through some hardball playing, Sony almost cast Jake as Spider-Man after Toby wanted out.

So in Far From Home, Jason Ioello serves as the exposition machine to tell us how things were during and after the Snap (they call it "The Blip").

He also runs the daily morning news with Betty Brant.

However, in the comics, Jason is part of Flash's crew and a person who constantly torments Peter Parker.

Much like Flash in the movies, Jason absolutely adores Spider-Man, even heading his fan club.

Alright, so an interesting part of this movie was the appearance of Brad Davis, a man who Peter has to compete with for MJ's love.

In the comics, it was very similar. Peter and MJ go on a break and MJ appear with... none other than Brad Davis.

So early on in the movie, we see that Aunt May has started up a charity for all the people who were made homeless by the Blip.

She even gets Spidey to be the guest of honor at her event.

This is very similar to the charity Martin Li/Mister Negative set up to be a front for his criminal empire, called F.E.A.S.T. (Food, Emergency Aid, Shelter, and Training).

Although in the comics there is no mention of the Blip.

In the background, once Happy comes with his big check for Aunt May, you can see an ad for Crusher Hogan vs. Bone Saw McGraw.

A wrestling match for the ages, you'll be sure of it.

For starters, Crusher Hogan is the man that Spidey first tested his powers on in the comics.

Similarly, Bone Saw McGraw is the one Tobey Maguire tested his powers on in the first series of films.

In Peter Parker's Room, you'll see that he has a Mike Piazza jersey. For those of you who don't know, Mike Piazza was a catcher and is regarded as one of the best in history.

Also, clearly Peter is a Mets fan as he was in the comics.

Unlike the movie (where she might be dating Happy, kind of) Aunt May actually falls in love with Jarvis in the comics.

Unfortunately, Jarvis is no more, so she'll have to stick to Happy.

In the movie, Nick Fury gets Peter Parker to work for him by totally highjacking his summer trip, much to Peter's dismay.

Which is a total jerk move, by the way, Nick.

You think he was a jerk in the movies, just hear what he does in the comics.

In Ultimate Spider-Man No. 24, Nick Fury tells Peter that once he turns 18 he'll be forced to work for S.H.I.E.L.D. or he'll be treated as a threat to security. Yeesh!
