Well, 2019 is just flying by, isn't it? School's out and already we're hearing talk about Halloween. I honestly expect to see a Christmas display the next time I hit up Costco, even though I'm not nearly ready for that.
But hey, is there really a bad time to talk about candy and sweets?
The team on the Mountain Dew crew at Pepsi are perfectly willing to experiment.
They'll try just about anything, as long as it fits the drink's image as the perfect accompaniment to extreme sports or an intense video game binge.
Serious Dew enthusiasts will already be aware of the impending arrival of "VooDew."
Pepsi trademarked the name back in October of 2018, and pictures of the bottle design have been bouncing around since March.
For one thing, it's a cloudy white color, which doesn't give many hints to what the flavor might be. The purple and orange label doesn't give the game away either, other than to note that it's limited edition.
And the ingredients are a chemical gobbledygook.
Instagrammer @its_g_up described it as tasting like "orange cream or candy corn," which would be fully appropriate for the trick-or-treat season.
Their verdict on the flavor? "Orange vanilla." So it'll be sweet, for sure, and probably with some orange undertones.
According to a Reddit post that cites a PepsiCo employee, we should expect to have a chance to try for ourselves starting August 26.
