Calling All Chocolate Lovers: Andes Crème de Menthe Mint Chocolates Are Now Ice Cream Sandwiches

We've all enjoyed a delicious, delicately-thin Andes Crème de Menthe mint chocolate before.

If you've ever stayed in a hotel, chances are you've discovered one of these beautiful little treats, wrapped in a forest-green paper, waiting for you on your pillow.

It's as if the mint-chocolate fairy herself descended down to gift you with a yummy present. And we thank her for that.

Or, if you're like me, you've learned that you can buy these mouth-watering candies in bulk.

Amazon

Somehow or another, you got to Googling and discovered Amazon has got your back. So, you spent your hard-earned money on buying a massive jar of them just so you can eat these mint chocolates by the handful.

Either way, I'm betting none of us are strangers to these yummy candies.

If you love Andes Crème de Menthe chocolates, I'm sure you've wished they come in ice cream form.

Sure, you can buy regular old mint chip ice cream, I guess. But anyone who's ever tasted Andes Crème de Menthe chocolates will tell you it's just not the same.

I mean, we have Kit Kat ice cream, Smarties ice cream, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups ice cream — why shouldn't we be able to go out and buy a carton of our favorite chocolate in ice cream form, too?

Well, unfortunately for us mint chocolate ice cream fiends, there's still no pint of that delicious flavor available for us to devour at 11 p.m. on a Monday night.

However, there is a new ice cream sandwich we can enjoy that will give us all that beautiful mint chocolate flavor in a perfectly snackable size.

Get your tummies ready, folks, because Andes Crème de Menthe now comes as an ice cream sandwich.

According to Best Products, this frozen treat consists of Andes Mint chocolate chip ice cream (in a beautiful green hue, I might add), sandwiched between two soft chocolate wafers.

The geniuses over at Hershey's Ice Cream are responsible for bringing us this absolute dream of a summer treat.

It might surprise you to learn this, but these ice cream sandwiches have actually been around for years.

I know. I, too, feel betrayed by my own grocery stores for failing to stock these.

A few eagle-eyed Instagram users have spotted these ice cream sandwiches over the past few years, mostly at rest stops, gas stations, and even a few restaurants. But it doesn't seem like these sandwiches are available in major retail stores quite yet.

So you can't run out to your local Wal-Mart and pick up a green sandwich for yourself, which is a TRAGEDY.

But, until they become widely available, you can still enjoy plenty of other delicious ice cream sandwich flavors, courtesy of Hershey's. These include Neapolitan, Cookies & Cream, Brownie Batter, and, of course, good ol' vanilla.

For now, we'll have to just keep eating our Andes Crème de Menthe chocolates and dream of the day these delicious sandwiches hit stores everywhere. Oh, what a day that will be.
