While there is a part of me that is annoyed to see fall/winter-themed products already hitting store shelves, I also can't help but be stoked abut it.
Summer is great, but when it comes to food and drinks, I'm definitely a cold weather menu kind of girl. Fresh salads, burgers off the grill, ice cream, and lemonade are great, but I'll take a hearty stew, pumpkin pie, and hot chocolate over them any day.
And even before the Pumpkin Spice Latte became the autumn phenomenon that it is, pumpkin was the king of just feeling like fall.
Sure, they've done their Halloween sugar cookies with pumpkins in the center for a while, but recently they've begun expanding their seasonal flavor offerings even further.
They're a great option for when you don't have time to bake from scratch, but really want that fresh-from-the-oven feeling that just buying a box of cookies can't give you.
You may be more of a pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream person, but as a pumpkin cheese cake person, I am so into this idea. Cream cheese has that tang that can help cut the sweetness just right.
So you know what? It may still be August, but I am ready for fall to come early!
