Hilary Duff Is Being Sued By Photographer After She Confronted Him For Taking Pictures Of Her Son

Being a celebrity parent would be so difficult for so many reasons. Being a parent is difficult, and being a celebrity is difficult — so when you put those two together, it can cause a lot of drama!

Hilary Duff knows the best of both of these worlds, so when the celebrity mom had to defend her child from a random photographer last year, she knew her public platform would get the culprit exposed.

In case you need a refresh, Hilary Duff posted a video to her Instagram last year of herself confronting a photographer at her son's soccer game.

"Who are you here with? Do you know any people on the team? Can you stop taking pictures of the kids please" Hilary asks at the start of the clip.

The photographer replies by saying, "it's legal" to take photos of the kids.

"I’m not asking for your ID. I’m asking you to stop taking pictures of our 7-year-old children if you don’t know anyone that’s here," Hilary said in the video.

"I’m asking you human to human, as a mother, if you don’t know anyone here, can you please stop taking pictures of our children playing football this morning."

Later, he says, "I'm taking pictures, I'm practicing photography."

"Your paranoia is unwarranted," he added.

The clips went viral and ended up on Wendy Williams' talkshow.

Now, the photographer is suing the actress a year after the altercation.

The Blast reports that the photographer, Darryl Wilkins is suing both Hilary and Wendy.

In his lawsuit, he accuses Hilary of "reprehensible and despicable conduct including by innuendo that he was a child predator."

He is suing Wendy for allegedly perpetuating these ideas.

Darryl claims what the actress said were "false statements because Wilkins is not a pedophile or child predator and was attempting to take photographs as a photographer and not as a paparazzi or stalker or with mal intent or evil wrongdoing."
