Head to the dollar store near you and grab some pool noodles, some twine, and some flameless candles. You'll also need a box cutter, hot glue, and spray paint. Got it? Let's do this.

Step 1: Spray paint candles.

Make sure it's safe to spray paint your chosen candles before attempting this! Go for LED lights so that they don't overheat and cause a fire hazard, and cover the light portion with painter's tape.

Step 2: Assemble your pool noodles.

Cut the pool noodles down to different sizes. You can see that @spinninkillerkitten chose to wrap three noodles of descending size around the tallest one. Something about that just looks so right.

Step 3: Cut into your noodles.

Use one of the candles to trace circles onto the tops of the noodles. Cut down into the noodles to the proper depth, just far enough that you can see the flame and not the base of the candle.

Step 4: GLUE.

Ugh, this would be so fun. Just go to town with the hot glue — we're trying to mimic melting wax, after all! Get a little messy with this part.

Step 5: Paint!

Hit the whole thing with some black spray paint! Make sure to spray inside the holes you cut, just in case the candles sink a little lower than you planned.

Step 6: Twine!

The twine really gives it that extra spooky vibe. It says "These candles might be found in a deeply haunted castle that is inhabited by bats and vampires," you know?

All done!

How COOL does this look? You'd have no idea these weren't purchased at a Halloween store for an insane amount of money. The vibes here are immaculate and spooky as hell.

So, what do you think? Would you try this DIY? I totally would — it's cheap, easy, and has a huge impact. It's spooky season, y'all! Time to get weird!
