I cannot express to you how important it is to not cut your child's hair yourself.
As a survivor of years of mom haircuts, I can safely say no mom has any business cutting their child's hair themselves. I survived YEARS of bowl cut bangs, people. YEARS.
One TikTok mom learned that lesson the hard way when she decided to save some money and cut her son's hair herself. Spoiler alert: It did not go well.
His mom, Kat Kalamani, thought she could cut his hair herself during a COVID lockdown. I mean, sure. Cutting a kid's hair should be super easy, even though they have a complete inability to sit still. This will go well.
Not only did she pop his binky in his mouth to get him to settle down, she left some toys on the counter to keep him distracted while she worked.
Unfortunately, that was a big mistake.
Okay, so here's my theory: Kat, like many of us millennials, definitely has cut her own bangs at some point, judging by how she's cutting his hair here.
However, cutting bangs and cutting a full head of hair are two very different things.
Her son was wiggling and playing, which definitely resulted in some uneven chops. Kat lost it when she saw him, claiming he looked like Lloyd from Dumb & Dumber.
Man, that bowl cut is so iconic and so bad. Played by Jim Carrey, Lloyd confidently rocked a crooked bowl cut that sat flat on his forehead. "Brutal" doesn't even begin to describe it.
Kat immediately panicked and decided that if she styled it, her husband wouldn't notice his child looked like Jim Carrey's offspring. I think the styling made it worse, to be honest.
Yeah, that reveal did not go well. Kat was killing herself laughing as her husband got a look at his new little Dumb & Dumber inspired baby. Honestly, a buzz cut might be the best thing here.
It is indeed a freakin' bowl cut. Honestly, there's nothing to do but laugh when you realize you've turned your baby into Jim Carrey. I love these two parents so much.
