Teenager Designs Clever Water Bottle To Keep Dogs Hydrated

If you love to take your dog for extended walks, you'll be thrilled with this story. Isn't it hard to keep your pet hydrated on the go?

I mean, it's bulky enough to bring not only an extra water bottle but an actual bowl for your pet to drink out of, no? Well, this one creative teenager set out to change that, and you have to see what she came up with here.

A 14-year-old girl, Dia Sheth from Mumbai, India, is a student of DY Patil International School.

She also attends the Young Entrepreneurship Academy (YEA) that pushes students to use their creativity to come up with useful ideas. And boy did she have one.

You see, Dia came up with the coolest invention to hydrate pets on the go.

Her idea came about when she was taking her dog for a walk. Her puppy became tired, thirsty, and hungry, and that's when an "a-ha" moment struck her.

What if there was a water bottle that served as a drinking bowl and a food storage container?

There wasn't one on the market, so she had to design one. And that's exactly what she did, alright. Check this out.

So I present to you the Slurrp-y bottle.

It comes in two variations. Slurrp-y retails at Rs 849 (roughly $11) and provides only water. Then the Slurrp-y Plus retailing at Rs 899 ($12), has a compartment for food. Oh my gosh.

Isn't that such a cool invention or what?

The Slurrp-y comes with a wide mouth cup which makes it easy for pets to drink water. It's also equipped with a lock that differentiates it from other bottles. That's such a brilliant design, no?

Not only that, but the bottle is completely leakproof.

And it has a carbon filter to remove odors and impurities. Wow! I absolutely love that idea. I think any dog or cat parent would be thrilled to have one of these bottles.

They would totally come in handy when taking your pet for a walk.

Or you can also use it when you travel. You no longer have to worry about your beloved pet going thirsty or hungry when you have one of those nifty bottles.

Dia definitely learned a lot from trying to bring her product to the consumers.

She had to get a patent, figure out the manufacturing, and so on. So far, she has sold over 400 of these bottles and hopes to continue with more sales in the future.

Oh wow! Aren't you so impressed with this young lady here?

I sure am. I bet her parents are absolutely thrilled with everything she has accomplished so far. Not only is she helping pets, but she has such an entrepreneurial spirit, and I love that. I wish her lots of success in all her endeavors.
