Dating in the 21st century does not seem easy. In fact, it seems really, really difficult. Forget that there's a global pandemic — people don't just meet anymore. People don't just go on dates anymore. Kids these days meet online and then "hang out" in random places. Now, call me old fashion, but this is not how a true, long-lasting relationship should start.
The one good thing about this dating culture is that is does make for great stories to tell your kids about one day.
While the websites do seem easy enough to grasp, it's the phone apps that really send my head for a spin.
How are you supposed to know this person won't be super petty and leave a note on your toilet written in your own lipstick?!

Sharing a video of herself cleaning her toilet on TikTok, she wrote: "kicked out a hinge date within 15 minutes od meeting him because bad vibes and he asked to use the bathroom before leaving and USED MY LIPSTICK TO WRITE ALL OVER THE SEAT."
The message had his phone number and the word "run" on the toilet seat, apparently to "warn" other men about this woman.
"I genuinely did try to spare his feelings a little bit," she explained, saying she gave him the excuse that she didn't "feel comfortable hanging out with a guy because I am still in love with my ex" which was untrue.
Okay, this truly sounds like a date from hell and I can't imagine how anyone could take this man's side!
Good for her for picking up on his red flags and kicking him out!
