If you've been looking for something to follow on Instagram besides self-deprecating meme accounts, look no further.
Allow me to introduce Nick Lacey, a 21-year-old artist — creator of @mypunkedits_.
He started the account in 2016, and it has been going strong ever since.
We already know that this is very far from what she looks like in real life. But I must admit, this rebel-without-a-cause looking version of her is pretty damn cool.
"[I] thought it came out pretty good and I had fun doing it, so I did some celebs and made the account for fun," he said in an interview with Buzzfeed.
"I just edit whoever I’m obsessed with at the time," he said. "I was watching the Vlog Squad a lot so I edited most of them."
"The time of the edit really depends on the picture. It could take either 10 minutes or 10 hours; sometimes I can't find the right tattoos, hair color, etc. Other times everything just falls into place," he explained.
He's edited most of the main characters from Stranger Things, including Gaten Matarazzo.
This is a major contrast to what he looks like in real life.
Selena has the wholesome and innocent pop star look down pat, so it's wild to imagine if this was actually what she looked like.
Nick told Diply that some of his edits are definitely more hipster than they are punk, but let's be honest, @mypunkedits_ sounds like a lot cooler of a handle than @myhipsteredits_, right?
Who knows — maybe, just maybe, this will inspire Camila to record a punk album.
She could totally pull it off if she tried.
Nothing's impossible, amirite?
I thought it was a big deal when Cole dyed his hair from blonde to black because it surprisingly suited him well.
Now I'm thinking he should take things to the next level and get a neck tattoo.
And now I'm convinced that Tori Kelly could most definitely pull off purple hair and a lip ring in real life if she wanted to.
Okay.
This one looks so realistic, I could hardly tell that this was Hailey Bieber at first glance.
I'm getting serious Suicide Squad vibes here.
Ansel has recently steered his career toward music — if you haven't heard his songs yet, I highly recommend checking them out — but this look totally fits his sound.
This is so far off from Chris' usual style, but somehow, still very believable.
I love this one, and apparently so does Chris, because he shared it to his Instagram with the caption: "Why do I wanna do this tho..."
It's so shocking to see the queen of bubblegum pop, stiletto pumps, and high ponytails rocking a shaved eyebrow, purple lipstick, blue hair, and a lip ring.
I'm a fan nonetheless.
Taylor is the epitome of the good-girl-stayed-good image, so seeing her decked out in ink, piercings, and with blue hair is pretty shocking.
This one makes me imagines a world where Margot Robbie was cast as the Joker instead of Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad. No shade to Jared Leto, but I think that may have been a more exciting movie.
Spider-Man's going through his rebellious phase. The spiderweb neck tattoo is a really great subtle touch, although I'm not sure if 'subtle' is the right word for anything about this look.
I can't imagine Jonathan Van Ness would approve of the harsh chemicals and bleach needed to get his hair that color, but Antoni somehow manages to look even more like a snack (avocado based, naturally) in punk format.
Some people might not know this, but Finn Wolfhard is actually in a rock band called Calpurnia. If that career takes off over acting, maybe Finn will end up looking like this when he grows up!
Everybody's favorite cop, Jim Hopper, is actually really handsome in this imagining of him. Maybe that's my former emo kid bias coming out, but I think he looks like the singer of a successful rock band from the 90's who's totally chilled out now.
Okay, I kind of feel like if Stranger Things was set in the present day, this is just what Billy would look like. He'd have his own Soundcloud page for his rap, and he'd have a pretty modest following.
The Little Women trailer would've played out VERY differently if Timothee Chalamet was rocking this look, but honestly, I'm kind of here for it.
Anyways, you guys get the picture — this artist puts his own spin on celeb's photos and it's rad AF.
You need to follow Nick and @mypunkedits_, like, yesterday.
You're welcome.
