Father Discovers That Family Dog Has Potty Trained Itself With Child's Potty

Potty training is one of those big milestones in life. It's probably the biggest sign that a baby has grown into a child.

It's also kind of gross, considering that parents have to deal with emptying and sanitizing those little training potties the whole time.

It's also not really a chore that can be put off for later.

Which is why one dad was surprised to arrive home early from a night shift to find a poop sitting in their child's potty.

It seemed weird that the mom wouldn't have cleaned it before the rest of the house went to bed.

Luckily, the house is equipped with security cameras, so he decided to check the recording.

I'd assume that he wasn't looking to catch his wife shirking chores, but rather the contents of the potty didn't seem dry enough to be six-to-eight hours old.

The culprit appears right at four o'clock, only an hour earlier.

I swear you can almost see the gears working as the doggo contemplates its options.

It's like: "The hairless puppy poops there. Maybe I should poop there?"

After a bit of circling and shifting, the doggo does his business and just wanders away.

That's one smart pupper!

Now here's the big question: if your dog (or cat) randomly potty trained itself, would you keep the potty around for them to use after the actual child doesn't need it anymore?

Or maybe get the dog its own, so there's less of a "sharing the potty with the dog" ickiness during training?
