Amy Schumer Admits She Was 'Afraid' To Go Back To Work After Having Her Son

Amy Schumer always keeps it real, so when she took to Instagram to express her mixed emotions about going back to work after becoming a new mom, fans and celebrities alike could relate.

Amy gave birth to her son Gene Attell Fischer in May of this year.

He's so sweet!

Recently, Amy made an emotional Insta post about returning to work since having her son.

"5 months today and like all moms I love him so much it hurts," the comedian began.

"I'm feeling strong and good and like I’m still a human being with interests and ambitions and goals I’m excited to reach."

"It’s felt good to be back at work. I was so worried about it and was afraid to go back after he was 3 months old. A couple days I’ve cried from missing him."

She concluded, "But it’s mostly good to be back and the breaks energize me to be a better mom and appreciate our time even more. I have it a lot easier than many people but I wanted to share my experience."

Other Hollywood moms admitted they felt the same!

Debra Messing commented, "It’s hard, being a working mom. But I believe that we are better mom’s when we are able to do what fulfills us."

Laura Benanti thanked Amy for "showing an example of a working mom who isn’t crippled with guilt."

Drew Barrymore gave her two cents as well, "I am no longer interested in myself as me. It’s being their mom. That’s who i am now. You are such a cool person Amy! Your kid is gonna he so proud of you!"
