Actress Helen Hunt, best known for her starring role in the television series Mad About You, was involved in a violent car crash earlier this week, TMZ reports.

Hunt's vehicle apparently flipped over during the crash.

TMZ reports that Hunt was riding alone in her SUV when another vehicle clipped into hers, causing it to roll onto its side.
There is currently no information available about the driver of the other vehicle.

Hunt was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills after complaining of pain from the accident, TMZ has learned.
Hunt was released from hospital later that evening.
While Helen has not made a public statement, a rep for the Twister actress told TMZ that she was "shaken," but suffered no major injuries.
No drugs or alcohol are suspected of being involved in the crash.
