Science Determined The Most Beautiful Men In The World (And Jason Momoa Didn't Make The Cut)

As someone who didn't do particularly well in science class in school, I've always had a healthy respect for the subject, even if a lot of it seemed like witchcraft to me. Science knows things that I simply can't understand, like how calories work, or how astronauts wash their hair in space, and I trust it to tell me the truth.

Until now.

A report has just come out on the world's most beautiful men, objectively, based on a scientific formula.

The Daily Mail explained the formula, The Golden Ratio of Phi, as "The length and the width of someone's face is measured and then the results are divided. The premise is that the closer the ratios of a face or body are to the number 1.618 (Phi), the more beautiful they become."

This formula has been used to scientifically rate the attractiveness of celebrities before, but one man felt it was time for an updated list.

That man was Dr. Julian De Silva, who utilizes the formula and the technology used to actually apply it to human faces in his work as a cosmetic surgeon.

Dr. De Silva, who runs the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic And Plastic Surgery, is a real fan of the technology involved.

He said, "These brand new computer mapping techniques allow us to solve some of the mysteries of what it is that makes someone physically beautiful and the technology is useful when planning patients' surgery."

The celebrity with the face that came the closest? Robert Pattinson.

Okay, look. I love Twilight as much as the next guy, but when it comes to a rock solid list of the most beautiful men in the world, I don't know how high up I'd place RPatts.

Dr. De Silva stands behind his results.

Despite, in my opinion, the glaring mistake that the answer was not an actor who's name rhymes with Bason Tomoa, Dr. De Silva said, "Robert Pattinson was the clear winner when all elements of the face were measured for physical perfection."

In second place was Henry Cavill, followed by Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, and George Clooney.

Rounding out the rest of the top ten is Hugh Jackman, David Beckham, Idris Elba, Kanye West, and Ryan Gosling.

Did you notice a name that was absent from that top ten list?

You read that right: Jason didn't even crack the top ten!

Sorry, science. I'm going to have to disqualify you from this one. Any list of the most beautiful men in the world that doesn't include Khal Drogo himself has got to be one that needs to adjust its parameters.

Love may be blind, and it looks like science is too.

I mean, look at this guy.

The hair, the beard, the physique... I guess there's no accounting for taste when it comes to science either.

Some other notable absences from the list include the breathtaking Keanu Reeves.

I guess science has no way to factor in personality, which is part of why the world goes so crazy for Keanu, but still. Look at those eyes and tell me you're not lost in them.

Not a single famous Chris made the list either.

Not a SINGLE one, and there's so many good ones to choose from: Evans, Pine, Pratt, and Hemsworth.

I mean, come on. Didn't they see Thor?

Nothing against Robert Pattinson, obviously. He didn't ask to be born with the apparently perfect scientific face.

I just can't help but think that without this guy in the mix, the list is just lacking! Sorry Robert! Sorry science!

Who do you think should have taken the top spot? Let us know in the comments!
